“We all had names” will be divided into three standalone historical interaction pieces.
- Kristallnacht: A story for four participants where many different characters are used to give both historical insight into the events surrounding the Kristallnacht, and a sense of being an active part of the events, seeing them through a set of different eyes.
- Judenrat: Probably the darkest of the three. Participants are the Judenrat, the jewish council members who have to make the horrible choices associated with administrating a ghetto. Based mainly on choices faced by the Judenrat of the Lodz and Warszaw ghettos.
- The Silence: Participants will take on the roles of citizens and bureaucrats who didn’t interfere with or fight the genocide. The focus is on understanding passivity, and how to change passive behavior. The experience will be in two parts; the second part will be personal, requiring participants to examine their own behavior in relation to the crises the world is facing today.
